This is a great book about a girl named Eff, who is born a thirteenth child. And her twin brother, Lan, who is the seventh son of the seventh son. Which means he is supposed to have amazing powers and she is supposed to bring doom to everyone around her.
In this book there are dragons and all sorts of mythical creatures, that Eff and Lan must face together. While Eff finds out who she really is and if she really is a thirteenth child at heart.
